It has been awhile since I have had the time to update so I am going to stick it all in one post!
In July, our three oldest children participated in our county fair talent show by singing and won 1st place in one category and 2nd place in another. I am so very proud of them! They also entered some artwork that placed as well! Also in July, our oldest son Jack celebrated his 11th birthday! Where did the time go? I was just looking at him today thinking about the fact that he is SO tall already and changing so much from that “little boy look” to a more manly countenance. I can see him day by day turning into a wonderful young man and I am very blessed to be his mother.
So far this month, we have celebrated three of our daughters’ birthdays…two of them on the same date! Sarah is now 2, Nona is 6, and Hannah is 8. What super ages! Being a mother of daughters is not an easy task. They look up to us, and they model us so we have to make sure the example we’re setting for them each day is the one we want them to see! What kind of women do I want them to be, and does that match up with what the Lord wants? The Lord is always there for me, and I look to Him daily for help in mothering our future! That is what children are, and we all need to have a vision of what that means to us. Today is also my mother’s 52nd birthday and it was wonderful to be able to talk to her this morning and wish her well!
The rest of this month and the first part of the next will be a time of preparing for our upcoming school year. With most all our curriculum purchased, we are just enjoying our final days of the Summer and looking forward to the coolness of Autumn and schoolwork! I think most are looking more forward to the former rather than the latter, but it’s all good in my opinion! I’m so thankful for a wonderfully supportive and helpful husband who keeps us all on track!
I’ll leave you all with a few glimpses of our life in picture…
See you all in September!
